The Tourist Experience
Tourists
Are you a tourist? The perception of what defines as a tourist is usually based upon self conceptualization depending upon our motives and reason for travel (Ryan, 2011). The reason in which a person travels will significantly affect the overall tourist experience. Whether it is to visit family, for self-fulfillment, work or to get away it will greatly impact the way in which we will travel to the destination, the activities that a tourist participates in and the services and goods used.

Tourist Awareness
The tourist awareness on tourism attractions influences and affect the visitation of tourists to the specific attraction. Based on Weaver’s and Lawton (2011) case study it was found that word of mouth was the most frequently used form of first awareness where brochures were the second most important source with local visitor centres within the state accounted for the majority of distribution.
